ABOUT BATSHEVA

From hosting my own television show, to touring as a concert
artist, I bring my music, my humour, myvoice, my stories and
performance to this new, musical photograph, my CD,
i, batsheva, SINGER.

As a performer, singer, songwriter, and broadcaster I have
performed or the Israel Broadcast Authority and most of the
leading Yiddish and Sephardic artists of our time in festivals
and concerts across Canada, and in Israel

The award-winning Song of Remembrance is part of the
official archives of Yad Vashem in Jerusalem. This song has
had a long life of its own, becoming part of Holocaust
programs in schools and Jewish communities across
Canada. It is re-recorded here on the CD.

As I enter this new phase of touring, I look forward to playing
for and meeting new audiences, continuing a great and ageless musical tradition.
